The fruit

What is yuja?

Yuja (유자) is the citrus fruit known in the West as yuzu (Citrus junos). Its aroma is more intense and floral than lemon, with hints of mandarin and grapefruit. In Korea it is traditionally used in yuja-cha, a yuja tea enjoyed mostly in winter. At KOMGO we pair it with the gentle tang of kombucha for a sparkling, citrusy and very fresh drink.

Questions
about Yuja

How do you make KOMGO?

Open a stick, pour it into a glass, add 250 to 300 ml of cold or iced water and stir well. Leave a little room in the glass because it fizzes. It's ready in a few seconds.

How many probiotics does KOMGO have?

Each KOMGO stick is enriched with 18 carefully selected probiotic strains, including Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Bifidobacterium longum and Lactobacillus rhamnosus. The full list of all 18 is in our powdered kombucha guide.

Does KOMGO contain sugar?

It has no added sugar. Each stick contains less than 1 g of sugars, which come from the fruit ingredients themselves. The sweetness comes from erythritol and sucralose.

Does it need to be refrigerated?

No. As a powder it needs no refrigeration: just keep it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. That's why you can carry it in your bag, backpack or suitcase.

Why might a sachet look slightly puffed?

That's normal. Kombucha powder contains a live culture and fermentation can slightly puff up some sachets. It is safe to drink.
